Our Stone Valley Great Wall hike is a 10km loop trail that follows farmer’s tracks through valleys and up hills to get up on a rough line of unrepaired ‘wild’ Great Wall.

We hiked it on the last day of the lunar year. The air was cold, the skies were clear, and the views were superb – high up in the hills we could see little valley villages, taller mountains off in the distance, and we could see the Great Wall running up ridgelines into the faraway hills.
